Nigeria–Fashion Rebirth, the Nigerian platform committed to empowering Nigerian fashion designers and ensuring that they reach the echelon of their profession has announced a partnership with the World Fashion Week (WFW).
Vivian Zadok the Coordinator and visionary Founder of Fashion Rebirth made the disclosure in Abuja recently.
Vivian Zadok stressed that Fashion Rebirth is a movement that seeks to change the public perception of Nigerian fashion designers and also to be a platform that serves as spring board for designers.
At the maiden edition last year, established professionals in the fashion industry shared their growth stories to inspire and mentor the emerging designers. Important personalities that spoke at the event are; The State Manager of Bank of Industry, the DG of The National Council for Arts and Culture and The DG ofSmall And Medium Enterprise Development Agency (SMEDAN).
These reputable Governmental organizationssupportedand endorsed the movement. The activities of the Fashion Rebirth movement is expected to create millions of jobs for Nigeria’s young population as well as better position Nigeria on the global fashion map as favorable destination and attract international investment.
The partnership with the internationally acclaimed World Fashion Week (WFW) is expected to provide opportunity and further exposure for the Fashion Rebirth movement.WFW provides a forum for worldwide exposure and recognition, with a major role in contributing to the harmonious growth and development of the global fashion industry.
As part of the partnership, Vivian Zadok will serve a representative of WFW in Nigeria. WFW has alsograciously offered sponsorship tothe best fashion designerparticipating at the annualFashion Rebirth eventfor full participation and exhibition at WFW France 2019 event in Paris, (fashion show with 10 outfits, valued at 14,000 Euro), as well as selecting the best male and female model from Fashion Rebirth, to participate in the final WFW France 2019 Casting in Paris.
